Hypnotic in both aesthetic and movement this performance work was fascinating. From the syrupy movement of the solo dancer to the icy, web-like setting and the ethereal soundtrack that drifted in and out like a soft breeze.

A Mountain’s Pulse, interdisicplinary performance by Paige Barnes in collaboration with visual artist Mya Kerner, along with Venessa DeWolf in the Basement Gallery.

I love the colors and his use of shapes within the space, they are dynamic and playful yet, have a catastrophic tension in their aesthetic as if they are going to fall out of the canvas and topple to the ground.

I find his dream-like aesthetic compelling, he captures the energy and dynamics of an urban landscape with each work expressing a different sense of place and time.
